2012

happy new year everybody! let’s just wish that the world doesn’t end this year.

“Come Back Down”

Staring right back in the face
A memory can’t be erased I know, because I tried
Start to feel the emptiness
And everything I’m gonna miss I know, that I can’t hide

All this time is passing by
I think it’s time to just move on

When you come back down
If you land on your feet
I hope you find a way to make it back to me
When you come around
I’ll be there for you
Don’t have to be alone with what you’re going through

Start to breathe and fake a smile It’s all the same after a while I know, that you are tired
Carrying the ones you lost
A picture frame with all the thoughts I know, you hold inside

I hope that you can find your way back
To the place where you belong

When you come back down
If you land on your feet
I hope you find a way to make it back to me
When you come around
I’ll be there for you
Don’t have to be alone with what you’re going through

You’re coming back down
You say you feel lost can I help you find it
When you come around
From time to time we all are blinded
You’re coming back down
You don’t have to tell me what you’re feeling
I know what you’re going through
I won’t be the one that lets go of you

I think it’s time to just move on

When you come back down
If you land on your feet
I hope you find a way to make it back to me
When you come around
I’ll be there for you
Don’t have to be alone with what you’re going through

When you come back down
If you land on your feet
I hope you find a way to make it back to me
When you come around
I’ll be there for you
Don’t have to be alone with what you’re going through

and that’s it..

i’m in the airport… waiting for  my flight to go back to machester…

sooo…

i’m currently in melbourne now. visiting my sister. and i dont feel like i wanna continue my post about my trip in easter.. sorry.

:)

soon

i’mma be back soon

I’m gonna stop saying I’m sorry. I found myself saying sorry almost every time I ‘abandoned’ my blog for a while. but I’m gonna stop now. it’s hard to keep up with all the busy schedule and life. I’m in my final week of my easter holiday now. prior to the holiday, I’ve  had tonnes of things to submit and mid sem exams. *cruel world* I’ll have another mid sem exam next week as well. (++”)

I got too busy that I didn’t even have time to look forward to my planned trip. I started my trip on thursday 7th of April and on Wednesday I was like “shiiiiiittt I’m going tomorrow….” instead of “yay! I’m going tomorrow”. it’s because I had a stupidly messy mid semester exam on monday and 2 assignments due on Wednesday. I stayed in uni ont that Tuesday till 10.30pm from 12pm..  I know that its me to be blamed for procrastinating but…. *thinking for excuses*….. *cant find any* :P

moving on, izwan came to Manchester on Wednesday night, and on the same night, I had to juggle my time as I wanted to see all of my Mancunian loves before I go for 2 weeks. the next day, we departed from Leeds airport to my first destination : PISA, Italy. only then I could feel the excitement..

Bella Italia

italy was beautiful. yes it was. at first, our initial plan was to stay in Pisa, and go to Florence for a day trip. but due to our awesomeness in doing things randomly, we ended up going to Rome as well! we went and visit pretty much everything, but I was a bit sad not to be able to get into Colosseum though…. one day… one day…

went to see all other attractions as well: Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Vatican City, Colosseum, bla bla bla…

we did end up going to Florence on the next day. another beautiful city. not as hot as Rome I suppose, but enough to get me tanned.

and The Leaning Tower of Pisa was…. cute. it wasnt as tall as I thought it would be. and it awed me. I think that pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful it was to me….

next post: PSA to CRL

Where have I been lately? Besides busy with studies, lately, I’ve been more interested in reading blogs, not writing. I’m a bit lazy to type. So what happened eyh?

I bought a breadmaker, hence obtaining my latest nickname ‘rotiboy’ hahaha! I’ve made quite a number of loafs, and tried to do some other stuff as well. So far, the best creations were made using my latest dough. It was quite a big recipe, so, we made quite a number of things with it. First up, sausage rolls a.k.a pig in a blanket:

That was just brilliant and I loved it. Everyone loved it! Feel like making them everyday!

Then, there’s still a lot of dough left, so nisa helped me to make these lovely sardine rolls! Yummeyh!

we made a pizza as well, but i forgot to take the picture… heehhehe…

I don’t really know what else to write. I’m pretty sure that there are a lot of things that I wanted to share here…

Oh yeah,

I burnt myself the other day while I was making lunch. I accidently dropped the sausage a bit too quickly, and hot oil spilt on my hand and my tshirt. NEW tshirt! Darn!

it's still here, on my upper left arm...

The tshirt I was referring to:

that's ihsan's finger btw.. lol

I made it the other day, and it only cost me 8 quids! With the tshirt! Another self obsessed move by me…. lol.

Went to BOP the other night and it was brilliant as always.

always...

So how was my 20th birthday celebration? Awesome! Basically, my birthday was in the middle of exam period. I had exams on the 19th, 20th and 21st! So the initial plan was, to just have a simple meal with my loved ones in Manchester (since my family is not here) and then back to studying. So we had a meal. Just a simple get together, small group of close friends and suddenly they brought out 2 cakes for me with candles and all and I just melted (together with the candles). Nisa said that they might have put 21 candles on the cakes! Hahahahaha! But yeah, I was really happy, and was in a good mood despite being stressful about exams.

It was agreed earlier that we’ll have a proper celebration (if we want to) after the exams are over. So, Raja D kinda made me promise to not have any plans on the following Friday (although I was really tempted to go to after exam BOP). I’m not gonna lie, I knew that we’ll have a proper dinner with the Moss Lounge crew that night. Then I went there a bit late, at around half 8 at night, and there they were, u know, the usual Moss Lounge Crew I just sat there waiting for the shisha.

After a few minutes, I heard a loud bang somewhere in the house,  and I knida saw a bright light coming out of the hallway, I thought that some accident happened in the kitchen, like the kitchen was on fire or something, even the fire alarm went off!  I was horrified for a split second, till suddenly, a whole group of people came into the room, bringing another 2 cakes for me! and they were singing happy birthday! I was shocked! Surprised! I was sweating! I really didn’t expect it to be that many people! loved it! Nisa made the cakes for me, and Raja D made chicken rice for us.  Matiin invited like tonnes of people! I was soooooo happy and touched! Really was. :’) then I got to know that Matiin even invited like our extended group, like those whom I met just once or twice and even my KYS friends! XXX! I seriously can’t put it in words how grateful I am to have such friends… I’m speechless.

The Moss Lounge Crew bought me a Zippo with engravings on it, Matiin bought me 2 clarinet books (which was really thoughtful since it was appropriate to my level; he actually asked the sales assistant to find books appropriate to my grade!), Peja got me a pair of headphones (Beats by Dr. Dre!) and Dee Zuraimi gave me a travel grooming kit (which was appropriate to my vain side! Xxx) all in all, turning 20 was great! It was awesome! Nothing to what anyone could ever wish for. It was lovely to have such people who went to some extent just to celebrate my birthday. Xxxxxx! Although I know it would be nicer to celebrate it with my family, but yeah, they all are like my family now in Manchester. Thanks guys. :x

And that’s how I turned 20!

unhealthy

despite all the goodness that you can say about it, I think exams are not healthy. generally. at least for me it’s not. as soon as my mates are back to their respective unis, I knew that holiday’s over for me.  the university’s main library started opening for 24/7 since 4th January. and since then, I went to the library almost every day to revise and prepare myself for the exams.

the problem is, I’ve always been a night person; that is I study in the night time, I can usually study in the day. and during day time, the library will be packed! the crowd only fades away at around 11pm. that’s the time when I started my revision. and I’ll usually stay there till 4/5/6 in the morning. then sleep till evening, and the whole cycle starts again the next day.

I didn’t have proper meals, I skipped my gym sessions (what a waste!),and I didn’t really take any time to relax properly. needless to say, I was exhausted. very exhausted. and when my exams were done, I was to tired, that I didn’t really get to celebrate as  much as I planned for. and now, a whole new semester starts again, and the inevitable fight to stay focused and on track has begun. so the bottom line is, for me, exams are not good mentally, physically, and emotionally. hahaha..

but I’m not blaming the uni though. it’s the price I have to pay for being in a good uni, and doing a good course. I just wish that it wasn’t as tense as it had been. and it would be great if we had a week to refresh ourselves and prepare for the new sem.

next up: turning 20
